FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Everything you need to know about our bathroom vanity units – from materials and finishes to installation and lead times.

Our standard lead time is 6 weeks from the date of order confirmation. However, we always aim to deliver sooner whenever possible, depending on current production capacity and order complexity.

All our bathroom vanity units are designed and manufactured in Rye, East Sussex, UK. We build each unit in-house using high-quality materials, giving us full control over craftsmanship, consistency, and finish.

Our local, small-batch production approach also supports sustainability and shorter lead times.

All painted units are professionally finished in-house to ensure a high-quality and consistent result.
Each unit goes through a detailed multi-stage process:

• 1–2 coats of primer, depending on material and colour
• Sanding between each stage for a smooth, refined surface
• 2 top coats of premium paint for a rich, durable finish

For units made from oak, walnut, and bamboo, we do not apply paint. Instead, these are finished with 2–3 coats of matt lacquer to protect and seal the natural surface while preserving its character.

We use a carefully selected range of high-quality, sustainable, and bathroom-suitable materials, including:

Hidrofugo moisture-resistant board – Engineered specifically for humid environments

Solid oak and walnut – Premium hardwoods offering beauty and strength

Bamboo – A durable and sustainable timber with a distinctive look

Richlite – A water-resistant, eco-conscious composite made from recycled paper and resin

Real oak and walnut veneer on ply or MDF cores – Used for side panels and larger surfaces. This engineered construction prevents issues like warping, twisting, or splitting that can occur with solid wood, while still maintaining the natural appearance of timber.

Yes, we can supply a range of basins to pair with your vanity unit. Taps and wastes are not included, allowing you to choose the fittings that suit your bathroom style and plumbing setup.

Please share the specifications and technical drawings, if available so we can assess installation requirements and determine if tap holes are needed in the worktops.

We design our vanity units to make plumbing integration as straightforward as possible:

• Drawer boxes are designed with cut-outs to allow space for waste pipes
• Back boards are set lower down on the unit where possible to eliminate the need for cutting

However, depending on the design, there may be occasions where the back board will need to be cut on site to accommodate plumbing. In those cases, your installer will need to make the necessary adjustments during installation.

Yes—many of our units can be installed by confident DIYers. However, we recommend using a qualified installer for:

• Wall-hung units, which require secure and level fixing
• Non-standard plumbing arrangements
• Ensuring proper sealing to prevent water damage

Please note: We cannot accept any liability for units that are incorrectly installed. Installation should always be carried out by someone competent and familiar with bathroom furniture fitting.

Yes. We offer bespoke options across many of our ranges, including custom widths, drawer layouts, finishes, worktop materials, and more. This flexibility allows you to create a vanity unit that perfectly suits your space and needs.

Please note that bespoke orders may have a longer lead time than our standard range.

Yes. Each unit comes with a care guide to help you maintain its finish and condition over time.

For painted units, avoid abrasive cleaners and prolonged exposure to standing water.
For timber units (oak, walnut, bamboo), ensure good ventilation and dry surfaces regularly to protect the natural material.

Do you offer ongoing care or support? We’re also available for post-purchase support, including replacement parts and maintenance advice.

Because each unit is made to order and completely bespoke, specifications cannot be changed once an order is placed. Every vanity is crafted based on your specific selections—including size, finish, and material—so it’s important to review and confirm all details before placing the order.

If you have any questions prior to ordering, we’re here to help ensure everything is correct.

Our production process combines traditional joinery methods with CNC routing, depending on the specific design and requirements of each unit.

This approach allows us to retain the craftsmanship and precision of handmade furniture while ensuring accuracy and repeatability where needed—especially on bespoke or technically complex pieces.
